Applications are invited for the post of Assistant in the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) at Delhi under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. There are 462 vacancies at the headquarters and in various regional centers across the country. Of these, 30 vacancies are in Kerala.

Headquarters: 71 (General-44, OBC-16, EWS-3, SC-7, ST-1, Disabled-3). Regional Centers: 391 (General-235, OBC-79, EWS-23, SC-41, ST-13, Disabled-5).

Eligibility: Degree from a recognized university
Age: 20-30 years as on June 1, 2022. The upper age limit for reserved posts is SC and ST. OBCs for five years for sects. (Non Creamier) category will get concession for three years. For the general category of differently abled, 10 years of SC and ST. OBC for 15 years for sects. Concessions are available for all 13 years. Under no circumstances should the upper age limit exceed 45 years.
Salary: The basic salary is Rs 44,900 at the headquarters and Rs 35,400 at the regional centers. Other allowances are also available.
Examination: The examination consists of Preliminary, Main Examinations and Slik Test. Preliminary and Main examinations will be in Objective Type and Multiple Choice format. The subjects for the preliminary examination will be General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Wrong answer will reduce the marks by one third.
The preliminary examination will be held at 93 centers across the country. In Kerala, the examination centers are Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. Candidates can select five centers in order of preference. The main exam will be held at five centers across the country. These centers are located in Kolkata, Guwahati, Patna, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai. Two of these can be selected in order of preference.
The preliminary examination is scheduled for the last week of June. Details including the syllabus of the main examination are available in the notification on the website. Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, generation of slides) will be tested for the skill test.
Fee: Registration fee is Rs.500 and examination fee is Rs.700 (total Rs.1200). Women, ST, ST. All sections and persons with disabilities need to pay only the registration fee. Fees must be paid online.
